Welcome to Clawson's 1905 Home Page

We are located on the edge of the earth in Beaufort, North Carolina overlooking the
Beaufort Harbor and the Inlet (where Blackbeard's ship has been discovered).

backdineweb2.JPG (38281 bytes) We feature Seafood dishes utilizing mostly locally available fish, as well as steaks, ribs, and pasta dishes.  You can dine in the original grocery store building and we have a private dining room upstairs overlooking the harbor which is available for receptions, parties, business meetings and other functions.

Our Pub serves an abundance of  beers from around the world including microbrews on tap and bottled.  We have all ABC permits as well as an extensive wine list featuring west coast and Austrialian wines. Whatever your drinking pleasure, we have it.
 

Clawson's Specialties

Shrimp & Grits: A spicy deep South recipe with sauteed shrimp,
mushrooms and bacon over cheese grits.

Shackleford Scallops: Sea scallops sauteed in a creamy parmesan
sauce and finished under the broiler.

Shrimp Tempura: Shrimp hand dipped in our tempura batter

Core Banks Shrimp & Crab Saute: Shrimp and backfin crab
sauteed in butter with mushrooms and sweet red peppers.

Clawson’s Crab Cakes:  Our backfin crab cakes made in the
Maryland style.

Seafood Platter: A Selection of fried shrimp, scallops, and
oysters, and our sauteed crabcake.

Clawson’s Baby Back Pork Ribs: A favorite during our 20 year
history. They’re slow cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender and
were well reviewed by Conde Nast's Traveller Magazine.

Grilled Specialties:  Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Grouper and
Triggerfish grilled and served with choice of sauces like Lemon-Dill
Garlic Butter, Ginger sauce or blackened spices.
